Two million people go canoeing & kayaking in Britain each year.
Have you ever seen a grumpy person paddling?
Whether you’re seeking a heart-stopping roller coaster or the serenity of getting lost in the moment - find your passion on the water.
Over the years, we have taught hundreds of people to paddle - from absolute beginners to white water rafters.
Locations
Our regular kayaking and canoeing spots for beginner and intermediate courses are in Sussex and Kent. The upper section of the River Ouse, in particular, is a gorgeous non-tidal waterway without currents, ideal for first time paddlers and social paddling events. If you’re based in London, Brighton or anywhere in the South East, this location will be super convenient for you.
For our advanced courses and trips, we venture further afield to the UK’s top white water spots Devon and Wales or the surf beaches of Cornwall.
Beginner Kayaking Courses
Our fleet of sit-on-top kayaks are perfect for first-time paddlers. Join one of our scheduled kayaking trips on the River Ouse. Your tour guide and instructor will teach you the basics of paddling on the day.
Intermediate Kayaking Courses
If you’ve dabbled in kayaking before and want to get some formal training under your belt, ask us about our British Canoeing accredited Personal Performance Awards courses. With enough dedication, you’ll soon graduate to Intro to Surf and whitewater kayaking.
Guided River Trips
Our kayaking river trips are for small groups of friends, families, birthday parties, stag and hen groups or corporate teams looking for an inventive day out of the office. We offer river trips in Sussex and Kent including the River Arun, River Ouse, River Cuckmere and the River Medway.
Three great reasons to paddle with Hatt Adventures:
This isn’t our first rodeo
We’ve been running courses since 2005 and paddling the UK’s rivers and waterways for much longer.
We’ve got all the credentials
Our instructors are avid kayakers and members of British Canoeing.
Beyond kayaking
Our courses and trips are immersive experiences where you’ll learn about the flora and fauna of the UK's beautiful waterways.
