River Clean Up - Surfers Against Sewage & British Canoeing
Join us this Autumn (Sunday 28th of Oct) as we take part in the Surfers Against Sewage and British Canoeing's Beach and River Clean.
We're running this event FREE of charge. Please come along if you're interested in giving a little something back to the local community and environment.
We'll be kayaking along the River Ouse (Upper Section) for 3-4 hours in search of all things rubbish! We'll send you further instructions - including time, meeting place and kit list - upon booking.
Guest speaker: the event will be preceded by an introduction by Clare Talks Rubbish. Clare is an adventurous environmentalist with a passion for the ocean, waste reduction and inspiring positive change. She has paddled the width of Britain and Length of Wales, and is a British Canoeing Ambassador.
If you have your own kayak, canoe or SUP, please register your attendance by emailing your name, email and mobile number to adventures@thehatt.co.uk.
If you don't have your own equipment, we are providing 10 sit-on-top kayaks and all the kayaking equipment. A £10 deposit is required for the equipment which will be returned to all participants. (Please make sure you select BACs as your payment method).
Please note that if you book and don't turn up for the event, your £10 will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage.
Disclaimer: This is not a course or guided trip and as such we are not providing kayaking tuition. Everyone is expected to be competent paddler and Hatt Adventures excepts no responsibility for those taking part in this FREE event.
