We are recruiting a team of experienced Rock Climbing Instructors and Rope Access Technicians to manage our Instructor teams operating at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.

We are looking for experienced Senior Instructors and Team Leaders who are not only technically skilled in safety and rescue, but have the right qualities to manage a team of Instructors and someone who is passionate about the customer experience.

With stunning views across Portsmouth and the Solent, we will be working with clients who use the event as a platform to raise funding for their charities, alongside corporate events and the general public.

Technical training will be provided over covering the range of skills needed to ensure you can run a safe, professional and memorable experience.

Job Description

  • Responsible for ensuring safety of clients and staff throughout the running of the event.
  • Oversees coordination between abseil team, customers and Spinnaker staff to ensure effective communication and exceptional service.
  • Managing technical safe working practises onsite and conducting daily checks of site.
  • Coordinate safety management issues and unforeseen occurrences.
  • Assist the management team with staff monitoring, and any health and safety requirements.

Practical Skills

  • Previous Supervisor or Management experience.
  • Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI)+ / Rope Access (IRATA Level 1)+.
  • Current 16hr First Aid qualification.
  • Excellent people skills.

SEASON

  • Weekends from April to October 2025

TRAINING COURSE

4 Day Training Course.

Successful candidates will receive payment for their training course upon completion of 10 days work.

2025 Training Dates

March: 29th-30th

April: 5-6th
