Kayaking can be enjoyed by everyone, young and old alike, and spending time as a family surrounded by the calming atmosphere and beauty of the water is an experience not to be missed.
Whether you’re wanting to try kayaking with a view to taking it up as a hobby or just want to have a fun-filled family day out, the course will be tailored to your abilities and aspirations. Under the tuition of our experienced and qualified instructors, you'll learn all the basic to get your kayak moving and exploring the water. You will learn how to paddle correctly, learn what to do if you capsize and get the opportunity to play some watery games!
You will be guaranteed to finish your day buzzing with a real sense of achievement and confidence when you look back at the new skills you and your family have acquired, and may even be planning your next kayaking adventure...!

Locations
BRIGHTON MARINA
This session is run on the sea outside our shop (HQ).
- Changing Facilities: We have a small changing facility on site.
- Toilets: On site.
- Amenities: There are a number of restaurants, shops and pubs in the Marina.
- Weather: Please note if the sea conditions on the day are too rough the session would be run on the River Ouse (you would need your own transport for this location).
RIVER OUSE (BARCOMBE)
This session is run on a flat water section of river.
- Changing Facilities: None (it's a public car park).
- Toilets: None.
- Amenities: Lewes is only a 15min drive away, with a number of restaurants, shops and pubs.
- Weather: Can always run.

All kayaking and safety equipment supplied (except for wetsuits etc.)
Equipment needed
Suitable clothing for the time of year should be worn. A complete change of clothes or a wetsuit with appropriate footwear is also needed. We will provide you with a kit list.
